Nation’s Capital DeMolay Wishes Everyone a Very

Happy Father’s Day!

Mark Twain once said “When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”

During our teen years we sometimes take our fathers for granted.  As DeMolays we are challenged to be better sons.  We’ve sent a lot of notices about events at Supreme Council this week, about who got elected, and who we have honored with the Hall of Fame.  Yet, we would be remiss to not take a momment and say “Thank you.” Thank you to our own fathers, (mine is the smartest and kindest man I know) To our Grand Fathers, to our uncles, and to those who are father figures in our lives.

We also want to thank all of our adult volunteers who are fathers for the work they do as fathers in building a better country. Specifically, “Dad” Gordon, “Dad” Smith, “Dad” Proden, and “Dad” Collins.  Thank you for being such great fathers.

I want to close with a thought that one of our Masonic Supporters has on his desk “WWDD?” Or What Would Dad Do?

Thank you and happy father’s day!
